ŠTRŮDL

Ingredients:

Puff pastry

4 – 6 eggs (according to size)

sugar

cinnamon

breadcrumbs

raisins

vanilla sugar

 

Puff pastry

Ingredients:

300 g flour

1 Hera – something like a solid vegetable oil

1 small yoghurt (150 g)

 

Procedure:

1.      Knead the dough from ingredients.

2.      Put the dough in the fridge for two hours.

 

Instructions:

1.      Divide  some dough into halves

2.      Roll the dough

3.      Put some breascrumbs in the middle of the dough

4.      Cut or grate some apples

5.      Add the grated apples to  the crumb

6.      Put some sugar, cinnamon and vanilla sugar

7.      Add some raisins

8.      Roll up the dough

9.      Do the same with the second half of the dough

10.  Put some  baking paper on a baking plate

11.  Put two the rolls of the  dough on the baking plate

12.  Cover the top of  the rolls with beat yolks

13.  Bake them in the oven180 – 200 °C until it´s gold,  for 20 - 30 min. 

Sirloin cream sauce

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 bigger carrots
  • 1 big celery
  • 6 parsley roots or parsnip
  • 2 bigger onions
  • 200 g butter
  • 1.5 kg beef
  • 200 g bacon
  • 4 – 5 bay leaves
  • 8 pieces new spice
  • 8 pieces pepper
  • 2 spoons salt

Sauce:

  • 250 ml cream or sour cream
  • 2 spoons of milk
  • 2 spoons of smooth wheat flour

Instructions:

1.      Vegetables

Wash the root vegetables and grate on a rough grater, peel the onions and dice them.
Melt the butter and clean the meat.

2.      Let the meat rest

Lard the beef with some bacon. Put 1/3 of the vegetables into a saucepan,
add the lard meat, spices and pour melted butter over it.
Then cover the meat with the rest of vegetables and let it in a cold place at least overnight.

3.      Roast the meat until it is soft

Heat the oven up 160 °C. Roast the meat and vegetables around 10 minutes without adding water.
Then salt everything, add boiling water or broth and roast until it is well done
(while adding the water or broth continuously). 
After that put the meat away and mix the vegetables.

4.      Make the sauce

Mix some flour and some cream or milk (you can use only milk, it will not be so greasy)
and if necessary make the sauce thicker.  Cook it gently for a while.
Optionally you can add a bit of salt, sour cream or sugar. 

 

Potato cakes

 

Ingredients
6 potatoes

2 eggs

1 garlic

A bit of flour, milk, marjoram, bacon, oil, salt, pepper

 

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and grate them.
  2. Put the grated potatoes in a saucepan.
  3. Cut the bacon and put in the saucepan.
  4. Break the eggs and put in the saucepan.
  5. Add a bit of marjoram, salt and pepper.
  6. Pour a bit of milk and flour.
  7. Mix everything.
  8. Make potato cakes with the mixture.
  9. Pour some oil into a frying pan.
  10. Fry the potato cakes in a frying pan until they are brown on both sides.

TRHANEC

Ingredients:

200 g  flour
4 eggs, separated  yolk from egg white

250 ml milk
50 g raisins
walnuts
a pinch of salt
2 spoons of vanilla sugar
2 spoons of butter
sugar for covering
100 g apples (grated or cut)

 

Instructions:

1. Heat some oil in a  frying - pan
2. Beat yolk with sugar and salt                                                                                                                             
3. Add milk and flour and mix it
4. Beat egg white until it´s hard
5. Add hard egg white to a mixture
6. Put some  butter into a hot frying - pan
7.  Pour the mixture into the frying - pan
8. Add raisins to the mixture
9. Fry it in the frying - pan until it´s brown on both sides
12. Tear the brown cake to a small pieces
13. Put it into a plate
14. Put butter into the frying - pan
15. Add sugar until it´s a caramel
16. Cut apples and walnuts
17. Put them into the frying – pan and fry them
18. Put it on small pieces of fried  mixture
19. Cover it with sugar
